That being said, for the price, this headset fits the bill. I spend a lot of time on conference calls via Skype and, with most headsets, can only last an hour or so without my ears hurting. I believe I could go all day wearing this headset without any discomfort. Pros: 1. Comfortable behind the neck design 2. Large ear pads that sit on the outer parts of your ear (mine at least). This causes less pressure on your entire ear making them easier to wear for extended periods of time. 3. Quality even sound 4. Removable mic. Really nice if you just want to listen to a video, webinar, or music without the mic dangling in your face. 5. FITS BIG HEADS! So well that it could almost be a slight con. I have a dome to reckon with and this headset is slightly loose on me. IF YOU HAVE A LITTLE HEAD, LOOK ELSEWHERE. 6. Well made. Seem really sturdy and should last a long time 7. Very reasonably priced Cons: 1. No adjustment. It would be REALLY nice if you could adjust the size. Overall this is a really nice headset that I would recommend to others. I bought the HS-420 to mainly listen to music on my laptop at work, and they do the job well. As a bonus, they feature an innovative removable microphone that plugs directly into the side of the earpiece. With this setup, you can chat using your computer, or make IP phone calls. The HS-420 is equipped with a plastic “pod” located twenty inches down from the headphones. This pod contains an on/off switch for the microphone, as well as a volume dial for the headphones. It’s a nice setup. The audio quality is nice and my only problem with the HS-420 is that the loops on the headphones tend to irritate my ears. Hopefully I can figure out a way to make these more comfortable. (I’m considering bending them using a heat gun.) I took a chance on these head sets as I game online while I work. No worries I own the business. Most head sets are big cans that make me look like a moron while I play. Because I have customers that come see me while I am in front of my gaming/work rig I can’t have CANs on my head. I have and used several logitech head sets and the problem with them is the QC..All 3 I used broke in one way or another.. A more popular headset the G330 broke in half after about 5 months of use..Not only does the sound match up with those headsets but I can clearly tell the head band will not break like the others. Light and wont make your ears sweat…The sound is clean for smaller head set and the bass response in game explosions are represented decently. My voice on the mic is kinda on the dry side but for the price… I can recommend these to fellow gamers and music sounds ok as well..If you want BOOMing sound then by all means get a surround sound head set with 8 speakers in em.. These are light, comfortable, and sound decent for the price..The chord is long and the mic is doable. Perfect for laptops or if you just want comfy light weight headset to chat or game on. Talk formats are also excellent. The comfort is surprisingly good for an in-ear bud. For 20 dollars, this is a great substitute for the cheaper buds that come with most MP3 players. Update on 12-21-06: I’ve come to be more impressed with my JBuds over the last two weeks, marvelling at the bright, crisp, and yes, warm sound that comes out of these inexpensive buds. Perhaps, as I’ve read in some of the headphone information that is out there, that there is a “breaking in” period, which has something to do with loosening the tranducer. In any event, I’d have to give these JBuds another star. Second Update 10-8-07: My only complaint about the JBuds is that sleeping with them at night I will sometimes wake up and the bud will have fallen off. I can’t secure the buds to my satisfaction; however, the JBuds are so comfortable I deal with this problem. Third Update 1-7-08: The sound is not quite as good as the slightly more expensive V-Moda; however, the JBuds are easier on my ears for long-term (I sleep with them on) listening. Also the JBuds have a longer extension and don’t pull out of the radio or iPod headphone jack as easily as the V-Modas, so again on balance the JBuds are better. I wouldn’t say that these are actually noise cancelling via electrical interference, its more via sound muffling than anything, but don’t misinterpret, with the sound at a medium volume you will kill all but the loudest ambient noise. I like these better for one two reasons 1) completely superficial reason – it matches my black ipod 2) completely non superficial reason – it’s better for my hearing I typcially keep the sound on my ipod locked at 75% to minimize damage to my ears. With these JBuds I don’t have to take that precaution, because I never have to raise the volume up that high. And I listen to my ipod chiefly going back and forth on the subway in D.C., where it can be pretty difficult to block out the sound of the train. I’m really glad I bought them. Two words of caution, however. First, I don’t think the sound is as good as it was with the Sony headphones. I listen mostly to podcasts and audiobooks, though, so it doesn’t affect me much. Also, I’m not an audiophile so my standards aren’t that high. Secondly, I’ve gone through 3 pairs of these types of headphones due to the rubber tips falling off. While I prefer these type of headphones to other in-ear phones (I’ve got small ears, and other types hurt), this is getting pretty aggravating. So electronic companies? Work on that.
